SETH watched the tall, lean man as he comforted the girl beside him. His eyes lingered on the curve of Riley’s mouth, at the sheen of sweat in the hollow of the other man’s throat, and knew exactly how he was going to kill those last thirty-five minutes. A predatory smile curved Seth’s lips and he moved silently toward the cashier. “Hey, Riley,” he said softly.

Starting at the closeness of Seth’s voice, Riley looked up to find the man standing directly in front of him. “What?” Riley asked impatiently. “There’s no more money until the vault opens.”

“Maybe I’m not interested in money right now,” Seth said slowly, reaching out with the gun and running the barrel through Riley’s dark blond hair and down his cheek. “Maybe there’s another way we can kill some time.” He smiled as he heard Riley’s intake of breath at the feel of the cold metal on his skin, saw the widening of his eyes as comprehension set in.

Katie shuffled forward and put herself between Riley and Seth. “Don’t you fucking dare touch him,” she hissed, venom dripping from every word. “He’s done everything you asked him to. Don’t you dare lay a finger on him.”

Seth ignored her and told Riley to stand up. When the man refused, he reached down and grabbed the collar of Riley’s shirt, hauling him to his feet. “Ladies and gentlemen, if you’d like to talk amongst yourselves for a while, Riley and I have some things to discuss,” he licked his lips obscenely, “in private.” Paying no attention to the shouts from the tied up group on the floor and the cursing from Mrs. Peterson that would have made a sailor blush, Seth half dragged, half carried Riley toward the vault room. “Open the outer door,” he hissed in Riley’s ear, his breath hot against the sensitive skin.

Riley grabbed at the hand curled in his clothing and whimpered. “What the hell are you doing?”

Raising his voice so that he could be heard by the others, Seth threatened menacingly. “Anything I want to, and for every time you say no, I will shoot someone. Do I make myself clear?” He gave a satisfied smile when Riley’s grip on his fingers loosened, the other man’s shoulders slumping in defeat. “Now, I say again. Open the outer door.”

Riley punched the code into the keypad and pressed the handle to release the outer door to the vault room. He felt Seth’s hand curl around his upper arm as he pushed him inside. Riley just had time to glance over his shoulder and catch Katie’s terrified glance before Seth crowded up behind him and the door closed behind them with a bang.

Inside the small antechamber to the vault, Riley stared at Seth, his chest rising and falling as he watched the taller man. Waiting.

Raising an eyebrow, Seth smiled, slowly, his eyes traveling from Riley’s carefully gelled hair to his black loafers and everywhere in between. “I’ve seen you looking at me, Riley and I know you’ve seen me looking at you.
